BARTENDING AND BAR SET-UP
INFORMATION
Affairs Catering is able to provide full bartending
services for your occasion. The following information may be utilized for a
pricing guideline. It is important to remember, that you as host, may provide
your own bar beverages, bartenders, and bar set-up
if you wish. If your event is taking place at a site, which has its own bar and
bar policy already in place, then you will need' to check on their requirements.
Liquor Liability Requirement
If you contract for Affairs Catering to provide
bartenders at your event, then it is required to have liquor liability insurance
coverage for the dispensers of alcohol. This coverage must be in the form of an
insurance policy stating location of event, name of host, and the name of
Affairs Catering as bar personnel. This liability coverage, provides protection
for the providers and dispensers (bartenders) of alcoholic beverages, as as well
as the host responsible for giving the function, in the case of an unforeseen
accident. Pricing for this insurance is $1.25 per person, based upon final guest
count provided by host.
Bartending and Bar Set-Up Information
Bartender's hourly rate is $20.00 per hour for each
bartender utilized. Hourly rate is based upon the length of time of the event,
when guests are being served, in addition to an hour for set-up and thirty
minutes for breaking down.
Bar Beverage and Supplies Pricing
In the attempt to simplify, what can become a more
complex issue, due to the variety of bar beverages made, the following pricing
index is provided. Keep in mind, you may provide any portion of your bar needs,
including the bar beverages offered.
Liquor, Mixers, and Soda
Full Bar:
Alcohol: Absolute, Beefeater, Bacardi, V.0.,
Dewars, Kahlua, Jose Quervo, Triple Sec, Dry Vermouth and Sweet Vermouth
Wine: Woodbridge, Chardonnay, White
Zinfandel, and Merlot
Beer: Bud, Bud Lite, Sam Adams, Becks, &
O'Douls
Mixers: Grapefruit Juice, Cranberry Juice,
Orange Juice, Tomato Juice, Sweet & Sour Mix, Milk, Soda Water, & Tonic Water
Canned Soda: Coke, Diet Coke, 7-Up, and
Gingerale
Bar Supplies: Grenadine, Lime Juice, Tabasco,
Worcestershire, Lemons, Limes, Oranges, Cherries, Olives, Onions, Toothpicks,
Cocktail Napkins, Straws, Stir Sticks, Can Opener, Wine Opener, and Ice with
Containers (for chilling)
Pricing For Full Bar (as described): including liability insurance [Bartender(s)
rate will be in addition as described.] With Glassware (wine, rocks, highball,
beer and soda goblet)

Pricing For Beer, Wine, Soda and Juice Bar:

Toast Glass (traditional) - .35 cents per person
Fluted Champagne Glass - .50 cents per per person
Pricing - (If Host Is Supplying Own Beverages):
For liquor liability coverage, glassware, bar hardware and set-up, ice
containers for chilling, straws, cocktail napkins, bar fruit, and bar linens $7.00 per person.
Please Note: The same Bartender(s) rate applies, of $20.00 per hour per
bartender, with (1) hour set-up and (1/2) breakdown.
Miscellaneous Bar Supplies Pricing: (these items are priced out
separately, if you are supplying your own bar beverages or if you need to
supplement your bar set-up)
Canned Soda: Coke, Diet Coke, 7-Up, & Gingerale
$18.00 per case chilled
Glassware: Wine, Rocks, Highball, Beer & Soda
Goblet
$3.00 per person
Glassware: Wine, Beer, & Soda Goblet - $2.50 per person Plastic Cups &
Tumblers: wine, beer, & soda - $1.00 per person
Please Note: If you are having your event at an event site, (inside or
outside), it is important to check with that facility to inquires about their
bar and beverage policy. Many sites have their own bar set-up and servers.
Beverage requirements vary greatly from site to site. If you are planning to
sell your bar beverages on a "cash bar" basis, find out if your event site will
allow you to do so and how you may obtain a one day liquor license to be able to
legally do so.
